Report: Trojans receive two-year bowl ban and scholarship reduction
The highly anticipated NCAA verdict is in. It was a ” hope for the best but prepare for the worst” type of wait, and USC has received the latter.
A two-year bowl ban and a loss of more than 20 football scholarships are among the sanctions that the NCAA has dealt USC, a source with knowledge of the situation said Wednesday.
Other penalties may include the forfeiture of victories.
These sanctions stem from the 4-year investigation involving Reggie Bush and O.J. Mayo. The NCAA should make its findings public on Thursday. More details will be posted after that announcement.
