Reggie Bush ends practice with iced knee
Reggie Bush had an MRI two days ago that gave evidence that his surgically repaired knee was fine. But only an hour into practice on Wednesday, Bush’s day was done. The New Orleans running back ended the morning with ice on the knee and an escort of trainers as he departed for the locker room.
Bush missed the final four games of the 2007 season with a partially torn posterior cruciate ligament in the left knee. The 2008 season also came to an abrupt end, with a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in the same area. As a precautionary measure the Saints have only allowed the former USC running back to practice every other day since camp began a week ago.
The Saints announced earlier that Pierre Thomas would be their featured back for the upcoming season, with Bush playing a complimentary role.
