Cary Harris receives $1.856 million contract

It took six rounds of name calling before Cary Harris came off the NFL draft board, but now the USC cornerback is cashing in. The Buffalo Bills have signed the rookie to a 4-year deal valued at $1.865 million. The deal contains clauses which can boost the total worth to more than $2.6 million, and included a $106, 850 signing bonus.
Harris was a three year starter for the Trojans, recording 5 career interceptions, and twice receiving honorable mention for All Pac 10 teams. He was slowed by a hamstring injury during Buffalo’s spring OTA’s, but will be challenging a deep Bills cornerback corps for a first team defensive spot.

To the editors of this site, I wonder if, in reflection, you might be less inclined to use phrases such as “in the crosshairs” in the future? I am not sure that there ever was a good reason to use shooting terminology in relationship to a football game with UCLA. Learning leadership qualities probably is best served by forward thinking, not repeating old verbage. Be creative and yet enjoy the competitive spirit.
